The interactive map provides opportunity to examine the Morris Street Business District at the street level, providing information about the individual uses and inhabitants, as well as the evolution of the street’s notable structures. United States Census records, Sanborn Fire Insurance Company maps, City of Charleston directories, and historic newspapers as well as city tax records/ward books, plats, archival collections, and secondary sources were used to document the individual property histories.
